WORKFLOW for children´s book

Step 1: Initial Contact
The client fills out the creative/concept form (to help me understand your vision and determine if I am the perfect match for your book) and/or sends the manuscript. Note: If we haven't been in touch through Facebook, Instagram, or email, please send me an email letting me know that you have submitted the creative form.

Step 2: Estimate
I will send you an estimate.*

Step 3: First Meeting (Optional)
We can schedule a Gmail Hangout call to discuss the creative/concept form, the estimate, and any questions you might have. During this meeting, I might show you additional illustrations that aren´t in my portfolio to give you a better idea of my work.

Step 4: Manuscript Submission
If you initially filled out only the creative form, you can send the manuscript at this stage.

Step 5: Detailed Quotation and Storyboard Proposal
I will provide a detailed and exact quotation along with a rough storyboard structure proposal.
Step 6: Agreement
Both parties sign an agreement (I only work under a signed agreement).

Step 7: Shared File Creation
I will create a shared file on Google Drive for our project where I will upload updates during the whole process.
Step 8: Sketch Stage
-
-
Character Design: Revision with the writer.
-
Sketches of Scenarios and Storyboard: Revision with the writer.
-
Final Sketches/Line Arts: Revision with the writer. It is important that the author is 100% satisfied with the final drawings before coloring.
-

Step 9: Coloring Stage
Addition of textures, light, shades, and the color palette.

Step 10: Final Stage
Finalization of the details and adding the text in the previously planned text layout.

Step 11: Export and Delivery
Export and deliver the final files.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
An exact quotation can only be provided after I review your manuscript. I will create a mock-up so you can visualize how the illustrations will be organized, how the text will fit each illustration, the number of illustrations needed, and a detailed description and price for each. Please note that all material shared, including the wording, manuscript, and story, belongs to you and will remain confidential throughout the entire process.
